I am generally booked 2-3 weeks in advance, so you should give yourself plenty of time. With that being said, it is never too early to book! If it is winter and you know you would like a session in the spring, just let me know and we can start planning!

YES! There will be a $100 Non-refundable retainer fee to reserve the day and time of your session. This is not an extra fee, and will be taken off the balance of your entire session.

For on-location (outdoor) shoots, I am willing to go anywhere within 35 miles of Williamsburg. Any location outside of these limits will be subject to an additional charge of $.54/mile as part of the agreement.

I am a natural light photographer so your session will take place outdoors unless you have booked an in-home lifestyle session with me. Outdoor sessions will take place in the evening or early morning. I have several places I love! We will discuss location when you book your session, however, if there is a park, garden, lake or other location that you love or has sentimental meaning, by all means we can do it!

Upon booking your session, you will receive a prep guide that goes over what to wear. While I leave that up to the client, based on their own personal taste, I do offer suggestions for you in the prep guide. In general for family photos, pick three colors, one being neutral (like white, black, beige, ect), then you can form everyone’s wardrobe around those colors. I am here to help you through the whole process so feel free to text me photos, call me or we can arrange meeting to go over your wardrobe choice.

Sure, just let me know ahead of time! It is also ideal that you bring things to keep your furry friend fairly controlled, as well as a spot to keep him/her if pet gets out of hand or you want photos of just the humans 🙂 I do suggest that pets be included in outdoor sessions in warmer weather.

Generally it takes anywhere from 2-4 weeks but this depends on the time of the year. I treat every photo as if it were my own family, so I take it very seriously! In order to ensure the best quality, I try not to rush like a mad women and rush my creative process! That time also is due to the fact that at the time of your shoot I am usually in the process of editing at LEAST two other sessions, and I edit in the order the sessions have taken place. I do post sneak peeks on my Facebook page for those that sign my model release.

I do not upload your entire session to my Facebook page. Clients are usually very eager to see their photos, so I ask in my model release if you would like a sneak peek posted on my Facebook page. As long as I receive your permission I will post sneak peeks of your session within 48 hours after your session.

Nope…I reserve the right to edit and release only the images that I deem creditable as professional in quality and within Kellyn Wilson Photography’s standards. It would be like asking a painter to give his rough draft sketch! It doesn’t do justice to the art, the model, or artist.

My editing process is more of an enhancement of the photo. While some photographers can change body type, color of hair, scenery and so on, I do NOT do this to my photos. My editing generally involves color adjustments to contrast and lighting, skin smoothing, stray hair removal, ect. I can’t tell you how many times a mom comes to me saying my toddler just scratched their face or got a boo boo the day before the session. Don’t PANIC! These are the things that I can easily edit out if need be! I will never edit to change the real appearance of you or your child!

Yes, your password to view your gallery and choose your images will expire within one week from receiving your gallery. If you need more time please contact me and I will extend the date. After six (6) months, all images will be purged from photographer’s hard-drive, except as needed for promotional purposes, to be determined by photographer at photographer’s sole discretion. Photographer is not responsible for loss or damage to the digital files due to circumstances beyond photographer’s control.

Your gallery will come with two albums one for PRINT and one for SHARE. The album titled SHARE is the one with my name and logo on the photos. These are the photos you can share on social media.

Yes! Although you will have a print release to print the photos yourself, I only guarantee print quality through Kellyn Wilson Photography. There is a difference in print quality and color with outside printing. I have several different packages, materials and print sizes for you to choose from. Check out my website for more information.
