Stop Eye Strain With Stylish Computer Glasses

Thanks to COVID-19 all of us are spending a lot of time working from home and our kids are spending hours online in virtual schooling. This leads to countless hours staring at the computer screen. For many people, too much time in front of a screen can cause serious health issues with the eyes. Luckily, there is a potential solution for this problem. Blue light (filtering) glasses can stop the effects of eye strain, headaches and fatigue.

If you spend a lot of time on screens, you need computer glasses!

As a photographer, I spend a lot of time staring at the computer editing session after session. The strain on my eyes continued to cause headache after headache! I felt tired and had to lay down every 30 minutes due to feeling dizzy and nauseous. Enough is enough, I though to myself!  I decided I can’t just sit here dealing with it, I need to find blue light (filtering) glasses. Of course, they have to be comfortable, they have to actually work, and most important they can’t create a yellow tint that impacts my editing process.

What is blue light?

Blue light is part of the visible light section of the electromagnetic (EM) spectrum. The primary source of blue light is from the sun. It has a short wavelength, which means it produces higher amounts of energy. Blue light is seen by the human eye (obviously) and studies show that constant exposure causes eyestrain, fatigue, headaches, and sleeplessness.

Unfortunately, even after the sun goes down, our eyes continue to be exposed to blue light from many man-made sources. Examples include our computers, smart phones, as well as other indoor sources of blue light, including fluorescent and LED lighting and flat-screen televisions. All of this blue light has a negative effect on overall eye health.

Tell me about Blue Light Glasses….

Blue light computer glass are designed to filter blue light. In fact, the glasses also shield the eyes to help protect them from the blue light emitting screens we use.

If you’re on a computer daily, always using your smart phone, and watch television, you may also experience dull headaches, irritation of the eyes, and fatigue. I highly recommend getting yourself a pair of blue light glasses.
